Punta Plata features a large infinity pool and patio area with outdoor shower, elevator, private access to the beach, attractive landscaping, security gate and intercom system. The building is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and next to a pedestrian boulevard lined with palm trees. Yet, it’s only three short blocks to the town square, market, shopping and many restaurants.

Bucerias
Bucerias is a lovely fishing village, just a short 15 minute drive from the airport. It offers some of the best beaches on the bay and the chance to experience the charm of an authentic Mexican town. Considered one of the deepest bays in the world, the Bay of Banderas reaches depths of up to two miles. The weather is great year round and the bay is protected by the bordering Sierra Madre Mountain range. Bucerias means “place of the divers” and for many years was the location for pearl divers in the area. The town runs along the longest unbroken stretch of beach on the bay (14 kilometers) and is lined with open air restaurants, cobblestone and bougainvillea streets. It’s a place where children grab a soccer ball and head to the beach. It’s a place where you can eat from the local taco stands or have a gourmet meal in a tropical setting that will keep you coming back. The town square comes alive around sunset where many of the locals come to hang out and enjoy an ice cream. On Sundays, the open market brings more shopping, while the covered stalls of the vendors are open every day.
The slower pace provides the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. Included in your trip to Bucerias are some of the most stunning sunrises and sunsets--a great way to start your day and an even better way to say good night.
Although Bucerias isn't yet on the tourist trail, it offers a real variety of coffee shops and quality restaurants including Italian, French and Mediterranean cuisine. Great Mexican food is in abundance. Be sure to check out the small restaurants and taco stands. Internet cafes are numerous, and if you pick the right one you can sip on a beer or margarita while you surf the net!
Take a swim in the large infinity pool and unwind as you watch the sunsets. They are magnificent! Walk on the beach or snorkel right in front of your home away from home. This area is known for its natural beauty and tranquility, and the bay is home to awesome marine life. Its conditions are ideal for the gray whales that migrate in January, February, and March—they’re seen often from the terrace. Watch the pelicans plunge into the waves for their dinner and the dolphins swim along the tide. Sea turtles and giant manta rays make their home in this deep water bay.
